Setup:
Rosetta 800 (AD/DA) with X-Symphony card
Mac G5 with Symphony 32
Quantec Yardstick 2492 (2 AES3 input, 2 AES3 output)
Rosetta is connected via its x-symphony option card and symphony 32 in Mac running Nuendo 4. The Rosetta's (Source to Digital Output) setting is in the Option Mode, and the (Source to Analog Out) setting is also in the Option Mode. So it can get the inputs and outputs from the Computer's Maestro input/output routing and mixer software...
I want to use the external effects for my mix in Nuendo so I created an Aux Channel for my (Quantec efx), in the VST connections setting under External FX, I choose the send bus as (Apogee Symphony 5 and 6 output) and the return as (Apogee Symphony 5 and 6 input). So I am getting an EFX send from Nuendo to the AES 5 and 6 out of rosetta going to the Quantec AES in, which then is routed back from Quantec AES out to the AES 5 and 6 input of Rosetta.
I checked the signal by choosing AES as the (Source to Analogue) in the Rosetta, there is a confirmed connection from Rosetta's AES 5-6 out and the processed efx signal from quantec going to AES 5-6 input. Therefore, the connection is working.
Here is the problem:
Although I am receiving the processed efx signal thru the
Need help guys especially from those who have used this setup before.

Although I am receiving the processed efx signal thru the AES 5-6 input I cannot use it in Nuendo.

- I sent an email to apogee tech support team and haven't heard from them yet. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
Btw, i found this in the Apogee website product FAQ for Rosetta 800. They stated this:
Q: Is it possible to use the Rosetta 800 for inserting digital outboard gear in Symphony or Pro Tools?
A: No, it is not possible to use a single Rosetta 800 for inserting digital outboard gear. It would be possible with a second Rosetta 800. Also, using an AD-16X and a DA-16X in the Advanced Routing mode will give you 16 digital inputs and outputs that can be used for inserting digital hardware.
But in some forums they said it is possible with version 1.6...huh? so i am confused and need confirmations.
Any suggestions, recommendations
Cheers!
